Vicar of Romsey
Tim is Vicar of Romsey and has been since his appointment in 2008. He came on the Saturday of the 2008 Weekend Away and took one of the sessions. He has also been a visitor to Unchained and Reloaded.
Jonathan Kitching
Romsey Deanery Youth Minister
Jon has recently been appointed as the Romsey Deanery Youth Minister. Before his appointment to the Romsey Deanery, he was Youth Pastor at Bursledon Church.
Jon received an English degree from King Alfred's College, Winchester and later a diploma in Youth Work from Oasis University, London.
Jon has been married to Sarah since May 2004 and they have a baby girl, Grace.
Jane Thompson
Youth Leader
Jane has been leading the Abbey youth groups, Unchained and Reloaded for about ten years. She has been involved in youth leadership at various churches.
There are many young people who will testify to her generosity, kindness and warmth, as well as the spiritual depth that she adds. She is an inspiration to many.
Jane trained as a teacher and still works in the classroom.
Sandra Tomkinson
Youth Leader
Sandra has a passion for God. She helps out at Unchained and her contributions are always helpful and welcome. She has a way of saying the right thing at the right time.
Neil Sharman
Youth Leader
Neil helps run Unchained and Reloaded. He grew up as a member of the Abbey and was a Chorister in the Choir and a member of the youth group. He has also twice visited Uganda (in 2001 and 2003) on youth trips.
Neil studied Chemistry at Southampton University, where he was a member of the Christian Union (for whom he also played football). After finishing his degree, Neil trained as a teacher.
As well as being involved with youth leadership at the Abbey, Neil is also a Trustee of Romsey Young Carers and regularly helps out with their groups and trips.
Caroline Willshire
Youth Orchestra Leader
Caroline runs the Romsey Abbey Youth Orchestra which plays at first Sunday 10am services and occasionally at other services and events.
